Cellulite & Saggy Skin -- Is There a Fix?

Cellulite & Saggy Skin -- Is There a Fix?

by Coach Debbie

A lot of women reach out to us, asking what can be done about both CELLULITE as well as SAGGY SKIN.

Being a female is a blast, isn't it?!  😉

There can be plenty of reasons WHY we have cellulite and loose skin . . . things like age, genetics, weight loss, pregnancy, and hormones.

And the good news?  MOST WOMEN HAVE CELLULITE AND/OR LOOSE SKIN!  You are not alone!

So is there a FIX?

Let me just say, I believe that these perceived imperfections are not a big deal eternally, you know?  We all have "flaws," but we are beautiful women made in God's image.  And I think that cellulite and loose skin keep us HUMBLE!!!!  What a rich aspect of your character!  Can you imagine how vain and proud -- and annoying -- you would be if you didn't have these?!

First, let's talk CELLULITE TREATMENTS, which can improve the appearance of lumpy bumpy skin.  These methods must be done CONSISTENTLY as there is not really a "cure."

  • Creams, Oils, and Scrubs (find ones with good reviews on Amazon as the list is always updating)
  • Foam Roll, Deep Massage, and Fascia Blasters can help smooth your skin
  • Dry Brush your skin before showering each day (there are YouTube tutorials on how to do it properly)
  • Hydrate with a lot of water throughout the day to flush your system (8 cups is likely not nearly enough)
  • Contrast Hydrotherapy (you can try at home, alternating hot and cold water during your showers, or you can head to the spa for an even better treatment which will also relax and rejuvenate you)
  • Walk often for about 30ish minutes to help reduce cellulite
  • Lift Heavy Weights, especially doing lower body workout moves from our Momsanity Sisterhood!  When you build muscle and burn fat, you will firm up the skin!
  • Tight Nutrition is an absolute must because excess fat will magnify cellulite.  Eat wholesome, natural foods!  Collagen is a major help in helping reduce cellulite, which our Mom Fuel Protein Powder contains!
  • For more expensive procedures, you can research laser treatments, thermal treatments, and even injections.

What about losing LOOSE SKIN?  Is there a remedy?  You will need a lot of patience as you work to tighten up saggy skin, especially after weight loss and/or pregnancy.  And you can try homemade options all the way up to invasive surgeries.  Just like cellulite fixes, you will need to be CONSISTENT.

  • Retinol Creams, Lotions, and Serums (find ones with good reviews on Amazon as the list is always updating) -- moisturizing is a crucial step!
  • Sunscreen should be applied after 20 minutes outside as the sun will dry out and age the skin
  • Massage can improve blood flow and has anti-aging results
  • Dry Brush your skin before showering each day (there are YouTube tutorials on how to do it properly)
  • Body Scrubs in the shower will also help tighten skin
  • Hydrate with a lot of water throughout the day as your "internal moisturizing" routine (8 cups is likely not nearly enough)
  • Supplements may help tighten up loose skin (fish oil, hyalauronic acid supplements, and antioxidants like zinc, selenium, and vitamins A, C, D, and E)
  • Walk often for about 30ish minutes to burn fat that may be associated with extra skin
  • Lift Heavy Weights using our Momsanity Sisterhood!  When you build muscle and burn fat, you will firm up the skin!
  • Tight Nutrition is an absolute must to reduce saggy skin.  Eat wholesome, natural foods!  Collagen is a major help in helping reduce cellulite, which our Mom Fuel Protein Powder contains!  Gelatin is another helpful supplement, which you can use in making BCAA Gummies!
  • For more expensive procedures, you can research laser therapy, laser resurfacing, ultrasound options, radiofrequency treatments, IPL, and chemical peels.
  • A last resort would be surgery for body contouring, which you can discuss with a physician.

    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well."
